These necklaces start with high quality, custom made zippers. The original zippers have been transformed into a necklace. The zipper teeth are made of aluminum. They are light, rustproof, no scratch, hypoallergenic, and nickel-free. They are soft on the skin and made to last. The concept is that they are adjustable: they zip up to become chokers, down to classic lengths, or somewhere in between. Click here to see examples.
Vanessa carries a wide selection of both small and large toothed zipper necklaces (size of a single tooth on smalls: 2.5mm / larges: 4mm). Each necklace has a hand blown, one-of-a-kind, borosilicate glass capsule charm. Borosilicate (Pyrex) glass is the most resilient on the market. It can withstand clumsiness and everyday use! All of the charms are hollow and contain different objects. Though no one charm is identical to another, I can replicate each model very well with only slight variation. Instead of the zipper, the capsule charms are offered on an 18” sterling silver snake chain.
